Book Fair

Yesterday Nathan took Temperence and Molly to the book fair at school. Temperence picked out a book with Christmas facts from around the world. Today she asked for money since her class was going, I pick her up from school and she is so excited she was able to get a Minecraft book. She read during recess and was on chapter 3. On the way to tutoring she read in the car two more chapters. I am watching her transition right in front of me. She used to only read before bed and it was a battle, then she went from battling it to enjoying it. Now she is reading on her free time. 

38 weeks

Almost there! Getting so excited, feeling good just rather large. Have another appointment next week. Not sleeping at all at night but catchimg up with naps. 

Decorations

We spent the evening getting our tree and decorating. We did a Disney themed tree. 

Lopsided

38 Week Appointment

Today I seen the doctor not dilated or effaced. They did an ultrasound checked the fluid around the baby and of course the heartbeat. All is good and now we wait, doc said if labor started they wouldn’t do anything to stop it as she is considered full term. I asked how big they think she is going to be, she guessed by looking at the ultrasound 7.5 lbs. and said she would only get bigger in the next couple weeks. 

Happy Thanksgiving

Enjoyed a lovely meal at the Azule house, first year I didn’t do anything as I am super pregnant. 

Helping feed the less fortunate

After a morning at Christmas in the park she joined her troop in feeding the homeless. The church in Los Gatos hosts a dinner every week. They also have two showers so they are allowed to shower and have a hot meal. They had clothes and toiletries for them to use and take if needed. The girls help decorate seeing how this is a special Thanksgiving meal. They also served our guests, poured cider and coffee as needed. Even cleaned up. I am/was so proud of them.

Christmas In The Park

Today Temperence decorated a tree With her troop with the ornaments they made at the last meeting. She had a blast, I enjoyed seeing how the girls worked together and took ownership. We didn’t help with the lights and they made a beautiful tree.

Christmas Music

On the way to tutoring today, Temperence requested Christmas music. I hit Apple Music and on our way, I saw mommy kissing Santa clause came on. I was watching Temperence in th mirror as I didn’t think she has heard that song. Next thing you know she looks up at me, and said wait what!!!!! Oh it was hilarious, she was like why would she be kissing Santa. Does that mean she is actually Mrs. Clause. 

Disneyland With daddy

Chris and another couple went to Disneyland for two days. It was a great bonding time for these two before we have another baby. All Temperence has faked about since she arrived home. They were fortunate to be able to have a fantastic lunch at the exclusive club 33. 

Thankful

In class the othe day they discussed what they were thankful for and her teacher just posted what each child said:

Temperence- I am thankful for my house because instead of being outside in cold weather I am warm inside. 

Laps for learning

Temperence goes to a charter school, they attend ten field trips a year they are funded by our annual fundraiser. Each year they get pledges for the amount of laps they do. The goal is at least $100 per child, Temperence was absent when the form was passed out since she was super sick with a stomach bug. She didn’t have much time to gather pledges but she managed to get very close to her goal. She ran 11 laps, awesome!!

Watching Milo

My co worker and his family headed to Behas and needed a dog sitter. Milo is a havanese with calm temperament. Temp was so in love and was crying big tears when it was time for him to leave. 

Diorama

The class came together and made Ohlone diorama, each student had a part in making the amazing display. While the class was on their field trip the class next to theirs came and left positive comments on their diorama. 

Field Trip

Temperence has been learning about the ohlone indians. They visited the creek and explored being in nature and naturally they started acting out what they learned. Smashing acorns, making face paint and exploring nature. 

Writing

Temperence has taken an interest in writing neatly vs just working fast to finish. The end product is lovely, this is a pen pal letter to the other school campus. 

Happy Halloween

We went to the Azule house to get ready for Halloween. Temperence invited Sadie and Natalie this year to go with us.
