Ring Ring

Temperence is really obsessed with phones. She will put anything to her ear and pretend but most of all she loves to use our cell phones or house phone so cute. She starts baby talking and says hi.

Time to change where we store the cleaner

Till tonight Temperence has not been able to open our cabinets because there are no handles or knobs. I walk into her room to get something I hear the cabinet open and go to investigate this is what I find

I know what we are doing after work tomorrow

Mommy and me time

Daddy went off to go to a bachelor party day for his best friend Aaron. Chris is the best man in the wedding. So Temperence and I had a mommy and me day. We hung out around the house the we went to the park then swimming. It was so much fun. A little harder to take pictures with only one parent.

Goodbye bottle

I bought a sippy cup made of silicon on top to ease the pain. She does not like juice so I put juice in her bottle and milk and water in her sippy cups. She seems to be taking to it well. Last night was a small battle when she really wanted her bottle but I stuck to it and long and behold she took the milk in the sippy. This is all to easy so I know I have some rough patches ahead :) I think the hardest part will be daycare she will see her cousin with a bottle and want it. Wish us luck!

Kitty

This morning I am getting ready for work and I went to grab Temperence her cereal bar and yogurt for breakfast. I was gone a minute the most as I ran to the kictchen and back the little turkey dumped out a bowl of cat food and proceeded to eat it. I walk into the room and this is what I see. How can you get mad with that cute little look ma what I did face.

(sorry they are blurry and small but hey were taken with my phone since we don’t have a camera anymore)

1st family camping trip

We took Temperence camping for the 1st time at Tulloch Lake near Jamestown. It was an interesting weekend to say the least. We arrived set up and went to go down to the water since it was so hot (96). We got in the water Chris handed Temperence to me and then he fell on a rock. He cut his hand really bad. So we packed up some things for Temperence and headed to the ER. Then once we arrive I am getting her diaper bag all together and I lock the keys in the car. I call the tow truck to come and unlock the car since my phone was in there and I had no ones number to call anyone for help at the camp site. Chris was wrapped up in triage then we proceeded to wait and wait. Chris met a friend there who had his son with him (Evan 2years old). The kids played while the adults chatted and chased them around. I had to take Temperence to the campsite to eat dinner and then headed back out to pick up Chris and get his prescription filled. Nine stitches later. He cut through the muscle but the location of the wound they could not put muscle stitches in. He is going to hopefully get to see his primary doctor soon to get more/better pain pills and get it looked at. The next day was a lot better. We hung out had a good time. Chris and I took a walk and found a cute beach area that we could take Temperence in the water. She had a blast splashing and even made a couple little friends. Unfortunately Chris was in pain and his hand was getting splashed so we headed back to the campsite. Had a nice calm night. Temperence fell asleep in her stroller and Chris put her in her pack and play she slept for a little while giving mommy a break since it was a mommy weekend. I guess it was good in a way because if it was a daddy weekend it would have been rough since he only has one hand. Here are a few pictures more to come. We lost our camera on this trip so I need to get pictures from everyone else :( I have a few I took on my phone of the drive up there.

Chris's finger 9 stitches later

Molars=grouchy little princess

I was changing Temperence this morning and I noticed that she has her 2nd first molar. It is just coming in on the top two sides have poked through. That explains why she has been so crazy lately. Poor angel!

Happy 1st Birthday Temperence Anne Sneed

Happy birthday sweetheart! I just keep saying it over and over because I can’t believe this year has flown by like that. It is only a glimpse of how fast her childhood is going to go but what a happy and challenging year it has been. Chris and I have certainly done a lot of learning over this year. We were reminiscing about the day we brought her home and how we felt, what the first night was like. We are both very happy but kind of sad to say goodbye baby hello toddler! Wow how far she has come in the past year is truly incredible. Temperence has gone from being completely depended on us to being a small walking talking little toddler. She is so amazing. She is talking a lot more in the past month. She can now say ball (which is her new fascination) duck, bubble, mama, dada, daddy, hi, kitty, and I know I am leaving some out. She took her first 8 steps in Canada just like we wanted. I was so sad to have to go to work but I must say Chris and I have seen all her major milestones first instead of being told by daycare and that was one of our major fears. She is starting to like table food more and more another thing that happened in Canada. It was so odd she grew up in the week we were there. She loved BBQ chicken and especially grandpas BBQ chicken. She seems to really like daycare I think it has everything to do with her cousin. Roberta is wonderful with them. She is very patient. Temperence sure is getting a lot of hair. One of my favotite things is when we put her hair in a ponytail she looks like pebbles. Everyone calls her that when they see her. She has two front teeth, two bottom teeth, one molar and another coming in. Sleeping is going okay. She wakes up once in the middle of the night and wants a bottle and to come to our room. She is on cows milk we started that at about 11 months. She drinks water out of a sippy cup. Another thing she started in Canada. Grandma bought her a sippy cup and from there on out she liked it.
Chris took her to her doctors appointment unfortunately I could not go :( 1st one I have missed ever. She weighs 22.12 pounds she is 31 inches tall and her head is 47.75 centimeters. She had to get four shots todays poor little angel. She took them like a champ only tried while they were being done then once she was safe in daddys arms she was okay. Our little princess is a true gift and we are very lucky to have her. I will be posting pictures of her 2nd 1st birthday party that we had here soon.

Visit to Canada to see grandpa and grandma Wiebe

I know I am WAY behind on blogging. We just have been so busy these past couple of weeks. We had to prepare for Canada and Temperences birthday. It was challenging but we managed and everything turned out great! On 07/24-07/31/10 we went to Prince George Canada. We left our house at 4:30am to head out to San Francisco to catch our flight. Kay and John were kind to wake up so early on their Saturday morning to get us to the airport. Temperence slept in the car. Once we were all checked in we searched for breakfast and waited to get on the plane. The 1st flight to Vancouver was challenging for Temperence she was really tired but did not want to sleep. She was not crying but a little fussy. The second flight to Prince George was really fun. It was a propeller plane. Chris was not to excited about this but the view was amazing!!! The noise of the propellers put Temperence right to sleep. We arrived in Prince George at 12:30 to see grandpa and grandma standing there waiting for us. Temperence was passed out. After the hugs and kisses and crying we headed to the truck. From then on out it was crazy. We seen/met all of the family. Everyone loved Chris and Temperence. We had so much company and great food. It has been a while since we have had three home cooked meals in one day. Normally we are lucky to get two. Since at work we skip breakfast and eat a packed lunch. We went in the hot tub after our little princess would go down. It was amazing how well Temperence adjusted. The first couple of days she was a little shy but after that it was ALL about playing eating and just enjoying grandpa and grandma. The last few days we were there is was all about grandpa. She loved being in his arms. He read her stories (we took a lot of pictures and videos of this). Grandma chased her around the house. The visit was great! I was so happy to see all of my family again it was truly an emotional visit. We had her 1st birthday party there. She destroyed a piece of cake. She had it everywhere and grandma and grandpa could have cared less. Once we got home Nathan was kind enough to pick us up at SF at 12am Chris started to get sick he ended up catching a bacteria from Canada poor guy has such a weak stomach.

The first night auntie Lynn and uncle Tim came over to visit and have a yummy dinner
