End of the year classroom party

Goodbye kinder hello 1st grade, we enjoyed a potluck lunch followed by an ice cream bar. The kids had soooo much fun.

Temperence first sleepover

On our way to school

Happy Birthday Jaya

Box city

From D2 principle Dale: No one told them when and what to eat. They figured that out on their own. No one told them when they had to rest or drink water or stretch their limbs. They figured that out on their own. No one told them how to spend their time or how to run a business. They figured that out on their own. No one told them how to solve the conflicts that arose, no one told them how to budget their money or care for their belongings. They figured that out on their own. The fact that they were all so exhausted by noon each day was a sign that yes, there is a reason we normally scaffold children's lives more than we did during Box City, but more importantly, we witnessed first-hand that they were capable of a higher level of inde- pendence.”

Temperence ran a flower shop however she didn't want to remain in her box so she came home and explained what she had in mind to build. So we made a box that was carried around her neck like they sell items at games etc

Sleep over with Molly

Temperence spent the night with Molly and Nathan they enjoyed 5 hours of swimming and yummy food. Then they slept.......

Happy Fathers Day!

We enjoyed a family hike which was ended by a much needed picnic

San Jose Giants

Our first game on sheriff night. They landed the helicopter on the feild to deliver the VTA driver who saved a three year old boy by calling the police after they boarded his bus. The man had just kidnapped the boy from the Milpitas library.

It was awesome swat, bomb squad and search and rescue were all there. They even brought their equipment and let the kids climb all over it. They had a neat little kids section, equipped with bouncy houses and slides.

Go Warriors

Guinness is not amused

Jenga aftermath

We purchased Jenga to play while Mike was here. Temperence was building houses with the pieces after we enjoyed playing a couple games

Bubble Run

Temperence has wanted to do a run just like daddy. I seen the Bubble Run 5k advertising and knew this would be fun. Unfortunately it was poorly planned and didn't turn out the way I had anticipated. There were stations of different colored bubbles but the race was in the dirt so it was super muddy and gross water to walk through. Temperence enjoyed it and we made the best of it.  We are going to try a better course next time.
