Swim and dinner playdate with our neighbor

Kyle, Gabrielle and Temperence went swimming for an hour than the kids came to our house for dinner and play date. I am sitting in the living room blogging listening to all their laughter

Happy Friday

Grandparents

Temp was having a conversation with her papa. Temperence wants to play ball with grandpa and Z like they do at the Azule house. Next think I know she asked

T-Grandpa do have big balls?

He didn't know how to respond at first, I was rolling

Room 8 Potluck

Day of running errands

First stop the bank,  worst decision it was PACKED! Then we went to the second bank that one was worse but we had to wait to pay the cars. Once we finished that we headed to get the car gased and washed for the week. During our wait we did math problems. Toys R Us was across the street once the car was done we headed over to check it out. Last stop was crickets for the frog, at the store a gentleman had a toy chihuahua.

Friday Night

I brought home a box we decorated and are using as a neat playhouse in Temperence's room.

Box city is coming up at Temperence's school. We had our first experience last year and it was amazing. Hard to describe something you need to witness. The children construct a city. For a week they need to build, decide what they want to do with their box. Some children choose to sell items face painting, food, drinks. If you want to sell food you need to apply for a food permit. Each classroom is given five food permits. Then they to vote on mayor, if you run out of money you go to the city hall and do chores for more city bucks. Some photos from last year below

Last year Box City-

Chores

We have been working on having Temperence realize money truly doesn't grow on trees. She wants a Guinea pig and is working towards earing it and being a part of the family team. She unloaded and loaded. She did great!

Student led Conference

We had our end of the year conference, Her teacher will do an end of the year progress report however the conference is student led. She was nervous, we tried to explain it would be her parents watching 😜 she made an agenda with six topics to present. Art, reading, drawing, writing, super powers (a student is using super powers to not be distracted or disturbed by anyone or anything), animal research. Temperence chose to do a polar bear and they had s presentation and a field trip the SF Zoo.
