2011 equals house of sick Sneeds

So far this year has not been kind to us. Temperence has been ill all month so far. She gets something then before she has a full chance to recover she gets something else. Temperence all last week seemed to bee better just fighting a cough that was lingering from her last cold. Then Friday night we go to sleep and were woken by our little angel screaming at 3 am. I went into her room and she was throwing up everywhere. I take her out to the bathroom started cleaning her up. Chris was scrubbing her room changing the sheets etc. We got everything/everyone cleaned up we went back to sleep in our room with the three of us. She was tossing and turning and started vomiting again. Thats when we gave up on sleep and got up for the day. She continued to throw up for four hours every 20 min. I put a call into the nurse line around 7am. to assess the situation and they said we should bring her in. I called her doctors office when they opened at 730 they said the doctors were not going to be in until 10am but I could take her to urgent care. As i am getting dressed so we can take her. She started playing stopped throwing up even started drinking something. Since we seen signs of improvement we decided that it was just a little bug shes getting better we did not feel we should bring her in. All day she was playing acting normal no more vomiting. She still was not eating much but that is understandable after vomiting all night. We were a little concerned about dehydration since she only had two wet diapers all day. That is not normal and we started giving her nasty pedilite in a dropper since she would not take it in her cup. She surprised us and ate dinner drank juice. She went to bed no problem again woke up around 11pm vomiting everywhere. Advise nurse said bring her to the ER. We were in the er till about two. It was horrible they had to put a catheter in her which we have done before but this time the nurse had no idea what she was doing it seemed. Temperence was screaming in pain it took Chris, a nurse and me to hold her down. She was so upset I was crying it was so hard to see her this way. The urine came back clean they checked her lungs still sounded clear. They gave her non nausea medicine that dissolved in her mouth. She stopped vomiting drank some apple juice we went home and put her to bed. We all slept till 8 when she woke up asking for ba ba. She chugged two cups of milk. Then she was up playing watching Barney aka Elmo. I gave her a bath because she was stinky from the night. She is now taking a nap so we are just hoping that she is over it and on the road to recovery.......

More sleep please

Temperence was so awake at 4am Wed morning but I kept telling her that she needed to at least lay down. FINALLY at 6 she goes to sleep right when mommy has to get up for work. She slept through me getting ready, she slept through me getting her ready (diaper changed, taking off her PJs putting on school clothes, brushing her hair and getting her shoes on, she slept though the entire car ride. Then at 830 with cousin came to daycare she woke up. i was getting a little worried but then realized she has been sick and up a lot she just was really tired.

books

Temperences love for books continues to grow. Her favorite book right now is Barney's Farm Animals. She is a Barney fanatic.

Daddys new toy

Daddy got the best graduation gift ever from Nathan and Kim an ipad. He is the happiest person ever!!! Temperence and him were enjoying some time together with it.

Uncle Mike came to visit

Uncle Mike was taking his grandpa home so he stopped in for a few days. It was great seeing him. Temperence really enjoyed playing and hanging out with him. Unfortunately she was not feeling well so she was a little cranky but still an enjoyable visit.

Legos

Alesha bought her Legos for Christmas. This is one of her favorite toys. At first she was like godzilla no blocks could be together and would knock over anything you built. Now she is learning to build things herself. So smart!!

Little one

Temperence has been sick for about three weeks now. It all started the week of Christmas. Her and her cousin had a bug. They had bathroom issues and fevers. She was getting over it and then she was hit again with another cold with really high fevers (104.5). I took two days off of work and Chris took two days as well. Chris took her to the doctor they took blood and urine samples and ran tests. They originally thought she has a urinary tract infection but all tests came back normal/negative. Her white blood cells were slightly elevated but they could not seem to locate an infection anywhere. She was just starting to get over that and she was hit again. I mean come on three times in three weeks poor angel. Now everyone is fighting this cold. She still has a cough and a slightly runny nose. Its really strange it starts to get better then takes a couple steps back. The fever has been gone for a few days but tonight i checked and it was 99.9. I just want her better so we can go outside and play. Poor little one has been stuck inside.

Sleeping Princess

Temperence decided she would get up wide awake at 4am this morning. She was tapping us to wake up and saying our names etc. We made her lay in bed till 5:30 then when daddy got up we got up and started playing. On our way to daycare I look back and her eyes are starting to close and then I see this

17 Months

I have said it before and I will say it again I love this little angel and every month brings new fun!!! She is talking so much now a days. She is so well mannered. If she wants something she says pees (please). If she is done with something and gives it back to you she tells you thang (Thank you). I really don’t have to remind her anymore she remembers all on her own. In the past few weeks she has learned how to give you a pucker kiss. So adorable you ask for a kiss she puckers and kisses you melts me heart. If she does not want to she will usually just push her forehead on your lips for a kiss. Eating has become a little more challenging. She really does not want veggies but I have been using the food processor and hiding it in her food. Works great we all get extra nutrition. I have been slacking on blogging because Temperence was sick, my mom and Steve were in town then Mike came to visit. Temperence was sick for almost two weeks. I thought she was getting better then she got worse. I was off for 11 days so that was nice (my company shuts down for the holidays). I was able to care for her while she was ill. Then I had to take an additional two days off and so did Chris. Everyone is well now tired as we are still trying to recoup from her keeping us up all hours of the night due to really high fevers (104.5). Temperence is sure an independent gal. She likes to do her own thing and will let you know she wants you to be part of it or not. She loves being outdoors. For Christmas she got two ride on toys one for inside from Santa and one for outside from grandma and grandpa. She also got a kitchen from Grandma and Steve. She also received a bunch of other things (to many to name off). Cant wait to see what the next month brings us!!!!
