Dirty 30

Well my celebration started at work they brought in a delicious burnt almond cake then Chris and Temperence took me out to a fabulous dinner at Red Lobster what a splurge. Temperence bought me a neckless from Swarovski I have always wanted an item from there. Friday we had a party at the Azule house. We all danced and played with balloons that have led lights in them. Leslie made me my favorite dinner taco salad that Barb used to always make me when she lived closer. Chris picked up my favorite cupcakes from Nothing Bundt Cake. After the munchkins went to sleep john and Kay said well what do you want to do for your birthday. I said get a tattoo next thing we are standing in the shop getting it done. Thanks John and Kay for a spectacular gift! Saturday Chris's co worker Brian and his lovely wife Theresa took me out to The San Jose Improv we saw Christopher Titus and enjoyed a very nice meal.

First Day at Her New School

Her old school was very academic and she was in a combo kindergarten/first grade accelerated class. She was working through the class but having some issues. The. We received an email that she was coming up on the waiting list for Discovery. This is the school we wanted her to attend but she wasn't able to get it until now. After lots of discussing with Chris and our family we came to the conclusion this will be a positive move for Temperence. Our first week has been amazing she really likes her teacher and has made many friends. Molly and Temperence have been able to see each other more often now. It reminds me of the kindergarten I attended they teach you letters, numbers and reading. At her last school you needed to come in reading in order to be at class level. Her first day the entire class had made cards and books for her to have her feel welcome. All the parents approached me as well very welcoming. Her teacher is wonderful and has been providing her with guidance. Her teacher has emailed me every step of the way and has wonderful communication.

Oakland Zoo

We meet with uncle Kyle and his lovely girlfriend at the Oakland zoo. We didn't tell Temperence we were going just that we had a surprise for her, we started having her guess and see where we where. She started to catch on when she sounded out the word Zoo. She had a blast the weather was perfect.

New Park

Temperence has been waiting for this park to open after its major renovation.

Temperence and Mommy

Temperence came to a full eight hour shift with me and she did fantastic. We had one point where she didn't want to go to the bathroom other then that she was amazing. We had a yummy lunch at a taqueria.

We were at school waiting for the teacher to have our conference which ended being over an hour long wait, she was running behind. It was well worth the wait we had an hour long conference since we were the last ones scheduled.

Happy Halloween

Temperence went to Base after school for a special Halloween Party. Then went over to the Azule house with Chris. I raced home and we dressed her all up and headed out. She had so much fun she scored a few full size candy bars and one house was even handing out these cool glow sticks that resemble a pool noodle. Around 9:00 she decided that she was going to one more house then home. The neighborhood lacked trick or treaters so she scored all night long. After we checked all her candy she wanted to watch some tv. She came in to tell her it's time to leave and she was fast asleep.

Halloween Parade

Temperence had a Halloween Parade the morning of Halloween. Chris was able to take an hour off and FaceTime me from school. She was so proud and having lots of fun. Since the weather was rainy I sent her in a cheap dress up costume for fear of ruining the very nice Elsa dress before the evening arrived.

Field trip

Temperence went to Santa Cruz Natural History museum with her class last week. I was so nervous about allowing someone I don't know take her that far but as Chris promised she came back safe and sound. She had so much fun, one of the moms captured this photo.
